Rev. Dr. Kenneth Blyth, Pastor

Pr. Ken’s Personal Ministry Statement:  My Ministry is focused upon the worship life of the community and the care of souls (spiritual development, pastoral counseling and such like).   I am likewise focused on the recruitment and training of congregational leaders, so that through such leaders, other members of the community might come to a deeper relationship with God.  My leadership also seeks to foster a healthy, faithful, attractive and joyful Christian ethos: a way of living/interacting/serving.  All beneath the cross of Jesus!

Formal Education:  Doctor of Ministry; Pastoral Care/Counseling, Louisville, Presbyterian Theological Seminary Louisville, KY 2017; Master of Divinity, Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Chicago, IL 2001; Bachelor of Divinity, University of St. Andrews St. Andrews, Scotland 1997.


Michael Bodnyk, Minister of Music

Michael joined the staff at SAKLC in September 2018. He holds the Bachelor of Science degree in vocal performance from Mannes College of Music, the Master of Church Music degree in choral conducting from Concordia University Wisconsin, and the Master of Arts degree in vocal performance from Hunter College/CUNY. He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in music education at Boston University. After singing a series of concerts with the Cross Border Orchestra in Galway, Ireland, Michael made his solo Carnegie Hall  debut in October 2014 with orchestra.
Michael served on the professional music staff of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City for over fifteen years, and also served as the Music Associate at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. A strong proponent of music education, he taught elementary and middle school music in NYC for over a decade, and was a founder and Co-Executive Director of Camp Rhythmo. 


Lois Habib, Organist

Born in St Louis, Missouri, raised in Toronto, ON, Canada, Lois began taking piano lessons at the age of 4, and continued until she was 17, studying at the Royal Conservatory of Canada program. She is a self-taught organist, encouraged by her mother, serving previously at The Church of St Luke-Lutheran in Toronto for 18 years prior to moving to Sarasota in 1992. She became organist at SAKLC in 1994 and has always considered this congregation her Florida family.
